Today, I got up early and went into work to drop off some files. Then, alextiefling & I went to Latin Mass at Westminster Cathedral. Why? Today could have been better. Instead of gently working from home after an unlovely night of poor sleep, I had to rush in for an emergency visit to a government building (which *totally* could have waited til tomorrow), and spent almost two hours waiting for several different people to decide they could authorise me so I could send 5 minutes taking ( Read more... )

Pfffffffft, well, today fucking sucks already. I'm an hour late, I'm very panicked despite having trouble keeping my eyes open, I missed 4 buses in a row, I'm getting blown at and rained on quite a bit, and I just discovered one of my best pairs of trousers has a big tear in the thigh and needs to be replaced in town asap. This morning was The Appointment! I got to see my local psychiatrist for a full hour-long assessment. He was a very nice man, very encouraging, complimentary and generally had a pretty good manner, not short or over-bearing, didn't talk over me, that kind of thing.
